Karnah, Nov 11 (JKNS): The body of young driver Raja Rahat, son of Sajjad Ahmad Raja, a resident of Kandi Karnah, who passed away in Bihar due to a heart attack, reached his native village on Tuesday around noon.

The arrival of the body plunged the entire village and surrounding areas into deep sorrow and grief.

A large number of people attended the funeral, and every eye was filled with tears. The funeral prayer was offered at 1 PM at the Kandi graveyard, where thousands of locals participated and laid the deceased to rest with great sadness.

Relatives, neighbors, and locals expressed deep sorrow, recalling the deceased’s kind-heartedness and friendly nature.

Meanwhile, the local population and bereaved family appreciated the timely and effective action of the Kupwara district administration, particularly Deputy Commissioner Shri Kant Balasaheb and Tehsildar Karnah Mohammad Amin Bhat.

According to locals, the Tehsildar promptly brought the matter to the notice of the district administration, after which the DC Kupwara efficiently completed all legal and transportation formalities, ensuring the body’s transfer from Bihar to Kandi without delay.

The local residents hailed the administrative support as a noble example of humanity and public service, expressing gratitude to the authorities and praying for the forgiveness of the departed soul and patience for the bereaved family. (JKNS)
