Srinagar, Nov 14 (JKNS): Initial trends from the Election Commission on Thursday showed early leads for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Nagrota and the National Conference (NC) in Budgam as counting began for the Assembly by-elections in Jammu & Kashmir.
Details available with news agency JKNS that in Nagrota, BJP’s Devyani Rana surged ahead of Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party (India) candidate Harsh Dev Singh, securing an early margin of 1,111 votes after the first of 11 rounds.
In Budgam, NC candidate Aga Syed Mahmood Al Mosavi is leading over PDP’s Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi by 624 votes after round 1 of 17, according to Election Commission data. (JKNS)
