Srinagar, Nov 16 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday conveyed deep anguish over the fatal road accident in Budgam that claimed four lives and left seven others injured.

In a post on X, the LG said, as per news agency JKNS, that he was “extremely pained by the loss of precious lives in a tragic road accident in Budgam,” adding that his heartfelt condolences were with the bereaved family while praying for the swift recovery of the injured.

The accident had taken place yesterday evening along the Waterwani stretch of the Budgam Ring Road after a dumper collided with a Sumo passenger vehicle, resulting in the death of four individuals, including a 10-year-old girl, and injuries to seven others.

Officials told JKNS that the injured are receiving treatment at the hospital, while Police have registered a case and started a formal investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the crash. (JKNS)
