Bandipora, Nov 18 (JKNS): Around 13 Shops and one complex on state land have been seized by district administration in Bandipora on Tuesday.
Local shopkeepers while speaking with the media that they have not been served any notice before seizing their shops by the government and said it will directly affect their families as they depend on their business units and do not have any other source of income.
“If authorities have to seize these shops they have to serve notices to shopkeepers. These actions will only affect our livelihood.
We have registrations in revenue departments of our shops if this is state land who why authorities registered these shos and give authority to construct building on it in last four to five years,” Shamshad Ahmad district traders president Bandipora said
He also said that they spend crores of rupees in constructing buildings now but it will take months to follow court order and vacate these shops.
“We are not against it but authorities need to make some alternatives for us as we have been earning our livelihood in these shops for the last 70 years.” (JKNS)
