Coimbatore, Nov 23 (JKNS): The mortal remains of Wing Commander Namansh Syal, who lost his life during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show, arrived in Coimbatore on Sunday.
As per news agency JKNS,, Coimbatore Deputy Commissioner Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar visited the Air Force Station in Sulur to lay a wreath and offer floral tributes to the fallen officer.
Wing Commander Syal, a native of Himachal Pradesh, was killed on November 21 when the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas crashed while performing at the international aviation event.
Coimbatore District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar paid homage to the mortal remains of Wing Commander Namansh Syal, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
The Sulur Air Force Station, located on the outskirts of Coimbatore, functions under the Southern Air Command of the Indian Air Force. (JKNS)
