Bandipora, Nov 23 (JKNS): Bandipora Police on Sunday convened a public Darbar at Dak Bungalow Sumbal as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance community engagement and strengthen police-public relations.
The interactive session was chaired by SSP Bandipora, Shri Ajaz Ahmed Zargar-JKPS, and saw enthusiastic participation from residents of Sumbal and nearby areas.
The program was attended by SDPO Sumbal, SHO PS Sumbal,DO Nowgam and other officers of Bandipora Police. Representatives from civil society, trade bodies, transport associations, and the general public took part in the public darbar, openly sharing their grievances, expectations, and suggestions.
During the session, SSP Bandipora held comprehensive discussions on issues concerning public safety, crime prevention, anti-narcotics initiatives and law enforcement challenges. Participants raised various concerns and also provided valuable inputs aimed at improving policing and strengthening mutual cooperation.
SSP Bandipora assured the gathering that all police-related grievances would be addressed promptly through established institutional mechanisms. Concerns falling under the domain of civil administration would be taken up with the relevant departments for speedy resolution.
Reaffirming the police commitment to maintaining peace and order in the district, SSP Bandipora highlighted the importance of vigilance and proactive action against anti-national & anti-social elements. He said, “Bandipora Police is dedicated to intensifying its efforts against anti-national elements to ensure lasting peace and security in the whole district”.
Participants expressed appreciation for the outreach initiative and lauded Bandipora Police for regularly organizing such platforms that help build trust, improve communication, and reinforce community partnership. (JKNS)
