Bandipora, Nov 23 (JKNS): Al Madeena Welfare Foundation Pattan, in collaboration with Noor-ul-Huda Welfare Foundation and Kashmir Eye Hospital Srinagar, on Sunday organized a one-day free medical camp at Government Middle School Bonpora Saderkoot Bala, Bandipora.
Large number of people from Saderkoot Bala and adjoining areas turned up at the camp, where free consultations and medicines were provided to the patients.
According to the organizers, more than 500 patients were examined during the camp and were given free medicines. Special focus was laid on eye check-ups, with many patients screened for various eye-related ailments and advised further treatment wherever required.
The camp was held under the supervision of Chairman Al Madeena Welfare Foundation, Mohammad Shafi Miya, and Chairman Noor Ul Huda Foundation Rouf Rahim, along with a dedicated team of doctors, paramedical staff and volunteers.
The organizers said such programmes aim to provide healthcare facilities at the doorstep of the people, especially those who cannot afford quality treatment, and thanked the school authorities and local community for their cooperation. (JKNS)
