Tangdhar, Nov 25 (JKNS): The Karnah Shining Band, proudly sponsored by the Shakti Vijay Brigade, secured second position in both the folk song and folk dance categories at a UT-level cultural competition held in Srinagar under the aegis of the Department of Culture and Youth Affairs.
The remarkable performance by the young artists brought pride to the people of Tangdhar, as the band continues to represent and preserve the rich Pahadi cultural heritage on prestigious platforms. Their achievement highlights the growing talent emerging from the border region of Karnah.
Local residents and cultural enthusiasts hailed the accomplishment as a “proud moment,” not only for the performers but also for the Indian Army, which has consistently supported and promoted local art, culture, and traditions in the region through various initiatives.
The success of the Karnah Shining Band is being celebrated widely, with hopes that such encouragement will inspire more youth to participate in cultural and artistic activities that showcase the identity and vibrancy of Pahadi culture. (JKNS)
