Srinagar, Dec 01 (JKNS): A pedestrian died after being hit by a speeding vehicle on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway near Nipora area of Qazigund on Monday, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS, the man sustained grievous injuries in the accident and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Ahad Khanday, a resident of Nipora, Qazigund.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (JKNS)
