Bandipora, Dec 1 (JKNS): The district administration in Shadipora area of Bandipora has sealed a multi-storey shopping complex, stating that the structure has allegedly been constructed on state land.
Speaking to media persons as per news agency JKNS, the owner of the complex said he was informed that the building stands on state land and was instructed to vacate it. “After being notified, I immediately approached the District Administration Bandipora and the Divisional Administration Kashmir. I submitted that out of the total land, 3.5 marlas belong to me as my proprietary land. I requested that my share of land be properly identified,” he said.
The owner asserted that he has no objection if any part of the structure is indeed raised on state land. “If any portion truly belongs to the government, they can take it. My only request is that the land which legally belongs to me should be identified and separated,” he added.
He also questioned the timing of the sealing, alleging administrative negligence. “When this complex was being constructed, why did the administration not inform me that the land is classified as state land? No objection was raised then, so why is the issue being highlighted now?” he asked, appealing for fair demarcation and a transparent inquiry into the matter. (JKNS)
