Ganderbal, Dec 4 (JKNS): Senior BJP leader from Ganderbal and State Executive Member Mohammed Amin Shah has initiated a renewed call for the establishment of a Waqf School in the district Ganderbal, terming it a “long-pending public requirement and a core developmental necessity.”

Shah has formally appealed to the Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, to prioritise the project and utilise available Waqf land to create a modern, quality-driven educational institution.

“We have been raising this demand for years because the district Ganderbal genuinely needs a dedicated Waqf School,” Shah said, reinforcing the need for targeted educational interventions. “Waqf land in the district which is available, can be optimally used to build a school that delivers accessible, high-quality education to the lower-income sections of our society.” He emphasized that the proposed school aligns with long-standing community expectations and would serve as a strategic social investment. “This is not just an infrastructure requirement, it is a commitment to the future of our children. A Waqf School here would transform opportunities for hundreds of families who rely on affordable and reliable education,” said Shah in his statement to media. (JKNS)
