Kupwara, Dec 15 (JKNS): An annual concluding religious programme was organized with simplicity, devotion, and a peaceful atmosphere at Madrasa Jamia Islamia Darul Uloom Siddiqia, Handwal Nachiyan, in the Karnah area, under the banner of Anjuman Bazm-e-Faiz-ul-Waheed (RA).
The programme was held in memory of the renowned Qur’anic exegete and eminent Islamic scholar, Hazrat Maulana Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed Qasmi (RA).
The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by the presentation of Naat in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The proceedings were conducted gracefully by Hafiz Tauseef Ahmad Siddiqi. Naat khawans Qari Arshad Magray and Saddam Hussain Mir presented heartfelt tributes in praise of the Prophet (PBUH).
Prominent religious scholars who attended the programme included Maulana Altaf Hussain Qasmi, Muhtamim of Madrasa Madinat-ul-Uloom, Nowgam Gubrah Karnah; Maulana Mufti Ata-ur-Rehman Qasmi, Muhtamim of Madrasa Shah-e-Hamdan, Tangdhar Karnah; Mufti Ijaz Ahmad Qasmi, Mufti Shakeel Ahmad Qasmi, Mufti Tariq Ahmad Rahimi, Maulana Basharat Hussain Madani, Maulana Yaseen Sahib (Khateeb of the old Jamia Masjid Nachiyan), Qari Muneer Ahmad Bilali, Hafiz Ishtiyaq Ahmad Sheikh, Hafiz Abrar-ul-Haq, and renowned teacher Raja Nazir Ahmad Khan, besides a large number of other scholars, teachers, students, and members of the public.
In their addresses, the speakers paid rich tributes to the religious life of Hazrat Maulana Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed Qasmi (RA), highlighting his invaluable services in Qur’anic exegesis and his role in social reform. The scholars stated that the scholarly legacy of Mufti Faiz-ul-Waheed Qasmi (RA) continues to serve as a guiding light for religious seminaries and students, and that commemorating such great personalities helps connect the younger generation with faith and religious values.
The programme concluded with a special collective prayer for the elevation of the departed soul’s ranks, peace and prosperity of the country and the Muslim Ummah, and the progress of religious education. The organizers expressed gratitude to all the visiting scholars, speakers, and participants, and hoped that similar religious and academic programmes would continue to be organized in the future.(JKNS)
