Anantnag, Dec 19 (JKNS): The District Administration Anantnag has issued a weather advisory in view of the forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Srinagar, predicting moderate snowfall across the Kashmir Valley from December 20 to December 22, 2025.
According to the advisory issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag as per news agency JKNS, the general public has been urged to strictly follow safety guidelines and avoid unnecessary travel during the period of adverse weather to ensure personal safety and minimize inconvenience.
The advisory further directs all concerned departments including PWD (R&B), Mechanical Engineering, Revenue, Flood Control Division Anantnag, PMGSY, Urban Local Bodies, JKPDCL, Jal Shakti, and Health & Medical Education to make adequate logistical arrangements and take precautionary measures in anticipation of the inclement weather. All departments have also been instructed to activate their respective control rooms to provide prompt assistance.
Meanwhile, the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) Anantnag has been made operational round-the-clock (24×7) to deal with any emergency situation. The public has been advised to contact DEOC or other helplines in case of emergencies or grievances.
