Srinagar, Dec 19 (JKNS): In a significant administrative decision, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has promoted Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director Sericulture, Jammu and Kashmir.
The decision has been widely welcomed by departmental employees, stakeholders associated with the agriculture and horticulture sectors, and the general public.
Under the leadership of Mr. Bhat the Sericulture Development Department of Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed remarkable progress. Several landmark initiatives were implemented during his tenure, directly benefiting farmers, orchardists, and those associated with the fruit trade.
Public circles have described Mr. Bhat as a hardworking, honest, and people-friendly officer who has always kept his office doors open to the common masses. Representatives from the fruit industry and agricultural sector noted that many long-pending issues were effectively resolved under his leadership.
Meanwhile, UT President of the Non-Gazetted Horticulture Employees Union, Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, also lauded the services of Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, stating that the Horticulture and Sericulture departments achieved new milestones under his guidance. He termed the government’s decision to promote Mr. Butt as timely and commendable.
