Bandipora, Dec 21 (JKNS): Prominent political activist Hamida Jaan from Watpora village of Bandipora district on Sunday alleged National conference and elected representatives of Bandipora for failing to deliver their promises despite passing one year in power.
Addressing the media at her residence in Bandipora she raised the issue of Bandipora -Srinagar road and said that more than 10 lakhs of people who depend on this road connectivity have been disconnected.
“We have been cut off from rest parts after a single bridge built by the army has been damaged. Around a month has passed and the administration has failed to complete on priority.”
She urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to dedicate his personal chopper for Bandipora people as it has been disconnected like Ladakh.
“Everyday thousands of commuters from the district travel towards Srinagar the journey which earlier took 1 hour now takes two and half.” (JKNS)
