Omar Abdullah’s Remark Exposes Governance Failure, Credits BJP-Led Centre for Stability and Authority: Er. Sahil Bashir Bhat

Srinagar, Dec 21 (JKNS): Bhartiya Janta Party’s leader Er. SAHIL bashir Bhat on Sunday said taht, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s recent statement, acknowledging that his governance has been empowered by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a clear and public admission of the BJP-led Centre’s strong, decisive, and enabling governance model.

The recent statement by Chief Minister J&K Omar Abdullah, wherein he publicly acknowledged that the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has empowered his governance, raises serious and unavoidable questions about his intent, credibility, and commitment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

If the Chief Minister himself admits that his government functions effectively only due to the empowerment, support, and policy framework provided by the Modi-led Central Government, then why has his administration consistently failed to deliver on the promises made to the general public ? This self-proclaimed admission is nothing short of an exposure of his own governance shortcomings.

Omar Abdullah’s statement clearly establishes that
The administrative authority, resources, and stability enabling his government come from the Centre.
Despite this empowerment, his government has deliberately chosen non-performance, selective governance, and political convenience over public welfare.

This contradiction exposes a troubling pattern. On one hand, Omar Abdullah credits the Central Government for empowering his rule on the other he continues to shift blame, evade accountability, and maintain a biased approach towards public expectations. This selective narrative is an insult to the democratic mandate of the people.
This raises a fundamental question If the Modi Government has empowered your administration, why has your government not empowered the people?

The BJP-led Central Government has Restored administrative stability
Ensured security and law & order Provided financial assistance and developmental frameworks Created an environment for transparent governance. Yet, Omar Abdullah’s government has responded with Political excuses instead of performance Selective outreach instead of inclusive development Self-praise instead of accountability
His statement demolishes the long-standing narrative of victimhood carefully built by the National Conference. It clearly proves that lack of delivery is not due to lack of authority, but due to lack of intent, vision, and commitment.

Omar Abdullah appears more focused on protecting political interests and indulging in self-proclaimed achievements than fulfilling the promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. This bias against public accountability reflects a governance approach rooted in entitlement, not service.

The people of Jammu and Kashmir were promised:
Transparent governance, Employment opportunities, Development without discrimination, Responsive administration. Yet, what they have received instead are self-glorifying statements, political posturing, and calculated silence on ground realities. His own words now prove that the lack of delivery is not due to lack of power or authority but due to lack of intent and political will.

Chief Minister empowered by the Centre but unwilling to perform is not a victim of circumstances, he is deliberately choosing failure.

His bias against public accountability and preference for self-praise over service stand fully exposed.

The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve governance that delivers, not leadership that survives on borrowed empowerment while denying responsibility. Omar Abdullah must answer one simple question: If the Centre has empowered you, why have you failed the people?

The BJP believes in performance-based politics, where empowerment is matched with delivery. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has done its duty by empowering the elected leadership. If Omar Abdullah chooses not to act, the responsibility for failure lies squarely with him and his party. (JKNS)
