Banihal, Dec 23 (JKNS): A special event was organized at Government Degree College Banihal to celebrate National Farmers Day.
The aim of the event was to highlight the importance of agriculture and introduce students to modern farming practices.
The event took place under the patronage of Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Katoch, Principal, GDC Banihal. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the vital role of agriculture and paid tribute to farmers contributions to national development. He remarked that farmers services are highly commendable, as the country’s economy largely depends on agriculture.
On the occassion, the keynote speaker, Zubair Ahmed Sohail delivered a detailed lecture on modern agricultural techniques, scientific farming methods, and the effective use of advanced technology. He also encouraged young people to consider agriculture as a respectable and rewarding career.
The event was hosted by Professor Bahar Ahmed Mir, and participants described the program as both informative and inspiring. (JKNS)
