Srinagar, April 11: Seventeen more persons from Jammu and Kashmir were reported positive for Coronavirus infection on Saturday, taking the total number of cases to 224 in the region.J&K Government Spokesman, Rohit Kansal said out of 17 new cases, five have been reported from Jammu division and 12 from Kashmir.The first case of Covid-19 in the J&K was reported on March 9 and the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir is at four with one patient in Udhampur in Jammu division and three in Kashmir.“17 new cases reported in J&K. 5 from Jammu division and 12 from Kashmir. Total positive cases now 224. 14 areas in Srinagar have been declared as red zones where all entry/exit points have been sealed.” he tweeted.The total number of COVID-19 positive cases across India stand at 7,529 including 6634 active cases, said Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday.
