Woman Found Dead in Bemina, Srinagar; Police Begin Investigation

Srinagar, Jan 4 (JKNS): A woman was found dead under unclear circumstances in the Bemina area of Srinagar on Sunday, prompting police to initiate an investigation.

Officials told news agency Jammu and Kashmir News Service (JKNS) that the woman was residing as a tenant in Sir Syedabad, Bemina. She was found unconscious inside her rented accommodation and was later declared dead by doctors.

The deceased has been identified as Saima Rajab, daughter of Mohammad Rajab, a resident of Naidkhai Sonawari, they said.

Police have taken cognizance of the matter and started proceedings to determine the exact cause of her death. (JKNS)
