Anantnag, Jan 14 (JKNS): One person lost his life while a few others were injured in a road accident in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK03E-0874 met with an accident at Badran area of Ashmuqam, resulting in injuries to several occupants.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Zahoor Ahmad Wani (24), son of Ghulam Hassan Wani, a resident of Aishmuqam, was critically injured and shifted to a hospital for treatment.
However, he later succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
The injured were taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment. Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (JKNS)
