Jammu, Jan 19 (JKNS): Shiv Kumar IPS Dy. Inspector General of Police, Jammu- Samba- Kathua Range in the presence of Sh. Sanjay Kumar Sharma, SO to DIG JSK Range, Sh. Amit Bhasin SSP Traffic Jammu, Addl. SP Traffic Jammu, Sh. Rabinder Raina Private Secretary to DIG JSK Range and other officers unveil Calendar (2026) which is created for the Jammu & Kashmir Police through cartoons.

It is meant for people who break the law and ignore social responsibility. All the cartoons in this calendar are drawn by Shri Chandrashekhar, an international cartoonist who has been awakening society through his art for the last 30 years.

This is not just a calendar, but a message. It shows the strong and positive role of the J&K Police in protecting society. Special focus has been given to today’s youth, many of whom are falling into drug addiction. The calendar highlights the strict action taken by the police against drug sellers and smugglers under Operation Sanjeevani, through which those involved in the drug trade were taught a strong lesson.

The calendar also shows the police’s firm stand against terrorism and crime. Another important issue covered is the dangerous Chinese kite string, known as gattu, which causes deaths every year. The J&K Police has taken strict action to control this deadly practice.

In addition, the calendar addresses problems caused by underage boys performing bike stunts on roads and harassing people. It also highlights strict rules and action against the harassment of women and minor girls.

This 12-page calendar presents all these social issues clearly and simply, showing the dedicated and fearless role of the Jammu and Kashmir Police in building a safer society. (JKNS)
