As per news agency JKNS, Budgam Police extended timely assistance to the general public amid heavy snowfall and adverse weather conditions across the district, reaffirming its commitment to public safety and humanitarian service.
Police Station Khag received a distress call regarding a pregnant woman from Kokerbagh who had developed severe pain and required immediate medical attention.
Acting promptly, a police team led by the Station House Officer (SHO) Khag rushed to the location and safely evacuated the woman to Khag Hospital for medical treatment.
In another instance, Police Station Charar-i-Sharief received a distress call concerning the urgent shifting of a pregnant woman.
The police team responded swiftly and evacuated her to the nearest healthcare facility for necessary medical care.
Separately, Police Post Pakherpora received information about nomadic families stranded near Nallah Sangerwani due to heavy snowfall.
The police team immediately intervened and safely relocated the families to Government Middle School, Pakherpora, ensuring their safety and shelter.
Additionally, Budgam Police assisted several stranded individuals at different locations and facilitated their safe movement during the inclement weather.
