Srinagar, Jan 25 (JKNS): Two senior officers of Jammu and Kashmir Police have been awarded the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) on the occasion of Republic Day 2026, in recognition of their exemplary and distinguished service to the force.
According to details available with news agency JKNS, Dr. Mohd Haseeb Mughal, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ms. Nisha Nathyal, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, have been conferred with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service.
The award is one of the highest honours in police service and is given for exceptional dedication, professionalism and outstanding contribution to maintaining law and order and public service.
The recognition of the two senior officers has been widely welcomed within the police fraternity, acknowledging their commitment and leadership in strengthening policing in Jammu and Kashmir. —(JKNS)
