Qazigund Jan 26 (JKNS): The 163 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great zeal, enthusiasm, and patriotic fervour under the able leadership of Shri Nripendra Kumar Singh, Commandant, 163 Bn CRPF.
Known as the Gateway of the Kashmir Valley, the battalion plays a crucial role in maintaining internal security in the region. It is entrusted with guarding one of the highest and most sensitive deployment areas of South Kashmir Banihal Top.
Despite extremely harsh weather conditions, including nearly 10 feet of snowfall at Banihal Top, which temporarily cut off the post from other locations, the morale and courage of the troops remained unwavering.
Braving sub-zero temperatures dipping as low as –10°C, the troops deployed at these forward posts proudly celebrated Republic Day, demonstrating exemplary dedication and patriotism.
The celebrations in such inhospitable terrain presented inspiring visuals, highlighting the resilience, discipline, and indomitable spirit of CRPF personnel who continue to serve the nation against all odds.
The Central Reserve Police Force once again reaffirmed its unflinching commitment to national security, standing firm in every condition to safeguard the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. (JKNS)
