Budgam Feb 3 (JKNS): The Sub-Divisional Administration Beerwah conducted a special drive against wrong parking in the Beerwah market under the directions of the SDM Beerwah. The drive aimed to ensure smooth traffic movement and enhance public safety in the busy market and road areas of Beerwah.

The enforcement drive was jointly carried out by the Traffic Police, Municipal Committee Beerwah, and Civil Defence Division Budgam. During the drive, several vehicles found parked in violation of traffic rules were identified, and challans were issued against the violators.

The drive was conducted in the presence of Naib Tehsildar Beerwah, Abdullah Qayoom Ahanger, along with officials of the Municipal Committee Beerwah and the Traffic Police, including SO Magam and other Traffic Police personnel.

Officials urged vehicle owners to strictly follow traffic regulations and avoid illegal parking, which often leads to traffic congestion and inconvenience to pedestrians. The administration warned that such drives will continue in the future, and strict action will be taken against repeat offenders.

Meanwhile, officials of the Municipal Committee Beerwah encouraged commuters to keep roads clear and utilize designated parking facilities.

They informed that a designated parking area is available behind the Clock Tower, and vehicle owners were advised to park their vehicles there to avoid penalties. (JKNS)
