Srinagar, Feb 05 (JKNS): A 25-year-old motorcyclist lost his life in a road accident on Thursday along the Hyderpora–Tengpora stretch in Srinagar, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS, the accident occurred near the Royal Enfield showroom when a motorcycle collided with a truck, resulting in critical injuries to the rider.
He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital; however, doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Numaan Ahmed Zarger, son of Latief Ahmed Zarger, a resident of Kralpora Kant Bagh, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. (JKNS)
