Jammu, Jan 6 (JKNS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday praised the Border Security Force (BSF), describing it as a living symbol of unwavering commitment and discipline, and said that every visit to border areas deepens his appreciation of the force’s dedication to the nation.

Interacting with BSF personnel during his visit to Jammu, Shah, as per news agency JKNS, said that engagements with troops stationed along the frontiers offer invaluable lessons in patriotism and selfless service. He noted that the relentless vigil maintained by the BSF under challenging conditions reflects the highest ideals of duty.

“Among all the forces, the BSF stands out as the finest example of devotion and responsibility, remaining steadfast on the borders at all times to safeguard the nation,” the Home Minister said.

During his visit, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also inspected the Gurnam Border Out Post (BOP) in Jammu and Kashmir, where he reviewed security arrangements and interacted with personnel deployed along the international border.

Shah’s visit comes at a time when the Centre is prioritising the strengthening of border security infrastructure and operational preparedness in sensitive regions.

During his two-day stay in the Union Territory, the Union Home Minister is also scheduled to chair high-level meetings to review the security situation and assess the progress of ongoing developmental initiatives. (JKNS)
