Shopian, Feb 10 (JKNS): The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, has announced that the previously postponed orientation and training programme for selected Haj pilgrims of District Shopian will now be held on 14th February 2026 (Saturday) at Tak Masjid Sharief, Shopian, as per official notification.
The orientation, originally scheduled for 24th January 2026, was cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, according to a prior communication from the Executive Officer, J&K Haj House, Srinagar, as per news agency JKNS.
All selected pilgrims of Haj-2026 from the district have been requested to attend the rescheduled programme at the specified date, time, and venue.
The notice regarding the rescheduling has been issued under No: DCS/MISC/26/414-22 by the Assistant Commissioner (Revenue).
Officials have urged pilgrims to adhere to the revised schedule to ensure smooth preparation for the upcoming Haj pilgrimage. (JKNS)
