Srinagar, Feb 11 (JKNS): The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has placed a Junior Assistant under suspension for dereliction of duty and failure to comply with official orders, officials said on Wednesday.
According to official order issued by the office of DSEK a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS stated that, the officer, deployed at the office of Chief Education Officer, Ganderbal, left his post, switched off his mobile phone, and failed to provide required information during the ongoing Legislative Assembly discussion on Demand for Grants. This delay was cited as a breach of service conduct.
The order reads, “In response to the Cut Motions received for Demand for Grants in the current session of Legislative Assembly, orders were passed vide No. DSEK/PS/PO/778-83 Dated:-10.02.2026 to all the subordinate officers for keeping the offices open and ensuring availability of officers/officials till replies are submitted by this Directorate to the Administrative Department.”
“However, contrary to the directions, Mr Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Junior Assistant, Boys Higher Secondary School Ganderbal Presently deployed in the O/o Chief Education Officer, Ganderbal has left the office, switched off his mobile phone and failed to respond resulting in considerable delay in compiling and submission of information, which tentamounts to breach of service conduct and dereliction of duties,” it reads.
It further reads that, “In view of the above and in terms of Rule-31 of J&K CCA Rules 1956, Mr Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Junior Assistant is hereby placed under suspension and attached to Boys High School Kachpathri, Ganderbal with immediate effect.” (JKNS)
