Srinagar, Feb 11 (JKNS): The Lal Chowk Constituency organized a commemorative program in Srinagar to observe the death anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya ji, one of India’s foremost thinkers, nation-builders, and ideologues.
The program was organized by the Lal Chowk Constituency under the leadership of BJP President for Lal Chowk Constituency, Shri Mehraj U Din, along with Morcha Presidents of the constituency. Hundreds of party workers participated in the program.
Shri Ashok Koul ji, General Secretary (Organisation), BJP Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The program was also attended by State Secretaries Shri Mudasir Wani and Shri Arif Raja; State Executive Member BJP & Co-Incharge Minority Morcha, Er. Aijaz Hussain; State Spokesperson Shri Manzoor Bhat; Media Incharge Adv. Sajid; District President BJP Srinagar Shri Sheikh Salman; and senior BJP leader Shri Sheikh Bashir, along with party karyakartas and local residents.
Floral tributes were paid to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya ji, followed by addresses highlighting his philosophy of Integral Humanism and the guiding principle of Antyodaya — ensuring that development reaches the last person in society.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Ashok Koul ji said, “Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya ji envisioned a nation where development is people-centric and rooted in our civilizational values. His philosophy of Antyodaya reminds us that true progress is measured by how we uplift the most deprived. Our karyakartas must carry forward his ideals through selfless service and discipline.”
Speaking on the occasion, Er. Aijaz Hussain said, “Pandit ji’s life teaches us that politics is a medium of service to society. His message of inclusive growth and social harmony continues to inspire our work on the ground. As karyakartas, it is our duty to translate his ideals into action and reach every section of society.”
Shri Mudasir Wani added, “The philosophy of Integral Humanism provides a clear direction for balanced development and national unity. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya ji’s vision remains a guiding force for strengthening grassroots engagement and empowering the common citizen.”
District President BJP Srinagar Shri Sheikh Salman said, “Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya ji’s ideals remind us that real political work begins at the grassroots. By serving society with dedication and unity, we honor his vision and strengthen our commitment to the people.”
The leaders noted that Pandit ji’s ideals continue to guide the party’s commitment to inclusive development and grassroots empowerment. Participants reaffirmed their resolve to work with dedication and discipline in carrying forward his vision.
The program concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the values and principles championed by Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya ji. (JKNS)
