Karnah kupwara :Army Goodwill School (AGS) Tithwal celebrated the International Day for Women and Girls in Science with great enthusiasm and purpose. The event was organized to encourage children—especially girls—to actively pursue science and to recognize the invaluable contributions of women in scientific fields.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers, students, and a large number of women from Tithwal. The celebration commenced with inspiring speeches highlighting the achievements of women scientists and their vital role in nation-building.

A key highlight of the event was the exhibition of innovative science models and projects prepared by students. The exhibits demonstrated various scientific concepts, creative experiments, and forward-looking ideas. The models and presentations drew significant appreciation from the audience for their originality and practical relevance.

The programme also featured a motivational lecture by Miss Shabnam Abid, who spoke about the opportunities and challenges faced by women in science, inspiring young minds to pursue their ambitions with confidence. Two girl students delivered impactful talks, sharing their aspirations and encouraging their peers to break barriers. A short film showcasing the achievements of Indian women scientists further motivated the attendees.

The celebration concluded on a high note, leaving students and community members inspired to work towards a more inclusive and supportive environment for women and girls in science.
