BandiporaPolice Attaches Property of Drug Peddler in Bandipora

Bandipora, Feb 12 (JKNS): Continuing its action against drug peddlers Bandipora Police attached Property of Three story House with Attic of notorious drug peddler

In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS, Drug peddler namely Mohd Shafi Sheikh S/O Mohd Shahbaz Sheikh R/O Ward No 5 Sheikh Mohalla Bandipora under section 68-F of NDPS Act 1985.
The said peddler is found involved in below mentioned NDPS cases
1.FIR NO 110/2022 US 8/20,29 NDPS ACT
2.FIR NO 183/2022 US 8/20,29 NDPS ACT Of Police Station Bandipora.

The property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of Investigation/Enquiry conducted by Bandipora Police. The property was prima facia accquired from illicit trafficking of Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances by the owner, it reads.

The notorious drug peddler was Under detention at Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu under PIT-NDPS Act and has been released, it reads.

This operation reaffirms the commitment of Bandipora Police to combat the drug menace, it reads.

Local people of the area hailed the initiative of Bandipora Police with regard to the attachment of immoveable properties which has been raised/ used from illicit trafficking of narcotics by the drug peddler in District Bandipora. (JKNS)
