Baramulla, 12 Feb (JKNS): As part of its community policing initiative, Baramulla Police conducted 30 public outreach programmes across various areas of the district.
The programmes were held at 30 locations including Kakawthal, Dangerpora, Chandanwari, Ringawali, Doondara, Mirpora, Stadium Colony Boniyar, Badmulla, Kalayban, Wanigam Payeen, Masjid Aman, Wahigund, Shaldain Nowshera, Manzgam, Pehlipora, Darveshpora, Nagarpora, Cristy, Allahpora, Venkara, Taripora Wansaran, Vernar, Krpalpora, Gund Ibrahim, Peth Mohalla, Nillah, Babagail, Shahkote and Khachipora.
Police officers interacted with local residents, listened to their grievances, and discussed issues related to civic amenities, verification procedures, cyber crime awareness, and drug abuse prevention.
The public was sensitized about safety measures and encouraged to promptly report any emergency or suspicious activity through Dial-112. Residents appreciated the initiative and assured full cooperation with police for maintaining peace and security.
The outreach programmes reflect Baramulla Police’s continued commitment towards public welfare and strengthening police–public relations. (JKNS)
