Shopian, Feb 14 (JKNS): The Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zainapora has issued a comprehensive public advisory urging residents to strictly adhere to proper waste disposal practices across Zainapora sub-division.
The move comes amid growing concerns over indiscriminate dumping of garbage in public places, which poses serious risks to public health and the environment.
In the advisory, the SDM emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a hygienic atmosphere in their respective localities. People have been directed not to throw household or commercial waste in open spaces, along roadsides, near water bodies, or in other unauthorized areas within the sub-division.
The administration has appealed to shopkeepers, business establishments, and the general public of Zainapora sub-division to cooperate fully with sanitation guidelines and adopt responsible waste management practices.
It has been reiterated that maintaining cleanliness is essential for preventing the spread of diseases and preserving the natural beauty of the area.
The SDM has further warned that strict action under relevant laws will be taken against individuals found violating waste disposal norms.
