Kundian, Keran(JKNS) :The Indian Army led Winter Coaching Programme, which was specially initiated for school children of the remote border village of Kundian in the Keran sector, concluded today after two months of dedicated academic and co-curricular engagement. The closing ceremony was marked by happiness, emotional moments, and deep gratitude from students, parents, teachers, and the local community.
The winter coaching centre was opened by the Indian Army to ensure uninterrupted education during the harsh winter months, when regular schooling becomes extremely challenging in this far-flung border area. Children from Class 1 to Class 12 benefited from structured academic support, discipline, guidance, and a range of co-curricular activities that enhanced their confidence and overall development.
On the concluding day, school children presented colourful cultural programmes, including songs, speeches, and performances, reflecting their learning journey and joyful experiences during the coaching period. The event witnessed active participation from winter teachers, local residents, senior citizens, and parents, turning the closure into a celebration of education and community bonding.
Students, speaking with emotion and pride, thanked the Indian Army for standing by them during winter and for creating a positive learning environment beyond classrooms. Parents also expressed heartfelt appreciation, stating that the Army has always supported border residents and continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of their children.
The successful conclusion of the winter coaching programme in Kundian, near Keran, once again reflects the Indian Army’s commitment to education, welfare, and nation-building in border areas—strengthening trust, hope, and a shared vision for a brighter tomorrow.(JKNS)
