Srinagar, Feb 24 (JKNS): Three workers sustained injuries after a pashmina press machine malfunctioned and burst at a unit in Palpora Noorbagh area of Srinagar on Tuesday, officials said.
Official Sources told news agency JKNS, that the incident took place inside the press unit, triggering panic at the workplace. The injured employees were promptly shifted to SMHS Hospital for medical treatment, where doctors stated that one among them is in critical condition while the other two suffered minor injuries.
The injured have been identified as a 20-year-old resident of Lolab Kupwara, who is critical; a 23-year-old resident of Bemina with superficial injuries; and a 22-year-old resident of Hamdania Colony Bemina, who also sustained minor injuries.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation to ascertain the cause of the machine burst. (JKNS)
