Anantnag, Feb 25 (JKNS): A two-storey residential house was damaged in a fire incident at Chakura Daksum in Tehsil Larnoo of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS said that the house belonged to Mohd Akbar Khatana, son of Jummah Khatana, and Gh Ahmad Awan, son of Haji Mohd Sediq. The structure suffered damage after a fire broke out under circumstances yet to be ascertained.
Soon after the incident, locals, along with Fire and Emergency Services personnel, rushed to the spot and managed to bring the flames under control, preventing further spread.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings. (JKNS)
