Baramulla, Feb 26 (JKNS): The demise of Abdul Ghani Beg Athar, former Vice President of Adabi Markaz Kamraz, former Patron of Cultural Trust Kupwara, and author of several important books, has sent shockwaves across literary and cultural circles. His passing is being described as an irreparable loss to the fields of literature, scholarship, and social thought.

In a condolence statement issued by Adabi Markaz Kamraz, the organization described Abdul Ghani Beg Athar as a sincere, dignified, and dynamic literary personality who had dedicated his life to the service of knowledge and literature. He was not only an active member of the Markaz but also remained at the forefront of its intellectual and literary initiatives. His writings and published works will continue to serve as a guiding light for future generations.

President of the organization, Mohammad Amin Bhat, in his condolence message, stated that with the passing of Abdul Ghani Beg Athar, Adabi Markaz Kamraz has lost an experienced, thoughtful, and compassionate member. He added that the late Athar rendered exemplary services in promoting cultural awareness in Kupwara through his association with the Cultural Trust, contributions that will always be remembered. His absence, he said, will be deeply felt for a long time.

The statement further added that all office bearers and members of Adabi Markaz Kamraz stand in solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of grief and extend their heartfelt sympathies and condolences.

The organization prayed that Almighty Allah grant the departed soul eternal peace, accept his literary contributions as a lasting charity, and bestow patience and strength upon the family. (JKNS)
