Srinagar, Feb 27 (JKNS): The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) has expressed profound grief over the demise of noted Kashmiri writer Abdul Gani Baig Athar, terming his passing a great loss to the literary and cultural landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a condolence message as per news agency JKNS, Secretary JKAACL, Harvinder Kour, said that Abdul Gani Baig Athar was a distinguished literary figure whose writings significantly enriched Kashmiri literature. She stated that his literary contributions will continue to inspire generations of writers and readers.
The Secretary further said that the Academy stands in solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of grief and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Additional Secretary Kashmir, Ideel Saleem, also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the eminent writer, stating that Abdul Gani Baig Athar will always be remembered for his valuable services to the Kashmiri language and literature.
The officers and staff of the Academy also expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. (JKNS)
