Handwara, Mar 7 (JKNS): The 92 Battalion CRPF, Wadoora, Sopore, organized two free medical camps in Rajpora and Zachaldara, remote areas of Dist. Kupwara, to mark its 87th Raising Day of CRPF.
The camps provided essential healthcare services and medicines to locals with limited access to healthcare.
A team of specialized doctors from CRPF and GMC Handwara offered consultations on general medicine, pediatrics, and hygiene. Essential drugs and supplements were distributed free of cost.
The doctors also briefed attendees on seasonal disease prevention and basic first aid.
Dr. M. Sindhu, SMO, conducted basic health check-ups for girl students at Higher Secondary School, Rajpora and Zachaldara.
DIG Naresh Kumar interacted with locals, emphasizing CRPF’s role as a community partner and stressing “Health For All.” He announced upcoming initiatives, free SSB Exam Coaching for BPL students, Basic Computer Course, and Badminton Tournament for college students. A Blood Donation Camp is scheduled on March 10, 2026, at DPL Handwara (registration: 8899443450).
