10,000 Veterans Gather at Mega Ex-Servicemen ‘Gaurav Senani’ Rally in Churu

New Delhi, Mar 8 (JKNS): The Indian Army’s Ranbankura Division under the aegis of Sapta Shakti Command successfully organised an Ex-Servicemen Rally and Medical Camp christened as Gaurav Senani Rally at Churu on 08 Mar 26 for the eight Tehsils of Churu. The event organised at SAI Stadium, Churu, witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 10000 veterans, Veer Naris, Veer Matas and their Next of Kin (NoK) from the region.

Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan attended the event as Chief Guest. Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh; Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, Mrs Barinder Jit Kaur; Regional President, Sapta Shakti AWWA and Lieutenant General Shamsher Singh Virk; GOC, Chetak Corps along with civil dignitaries were also present. The Large representation from the state and district civil administrations reaffirmed the commitment of civil authorities towards ensuring sustained support, timely delivery of entitlements and structured engagement with Ex-Servicemen welfare mechanisms. The event included a vibrant cultural programme, adventure activities, combat demonstration by military helicopters, equipment display and military pipe band display, celebrating the spirit of soldiering and the pivotal role of veterans in nation building.

Various Record Offices, Banks and Government Welfare Agencies including DIAV, AWPO, ECHS and Zila Sainik Boards established help desks and stalls to assist Ex-servicemen in grievance redressal, documentation updates, pension-related queries and employment opportunities. Establishment of stalls by Revenue departments for the first time was a unique initiative. A Medical Camp provided comprehensive health check-up and specialist consultancy to the attendees.

In his address, the hon’ble Chief Minister reiterated that the state govt is making holistic endeavours towards establishment of Integrated Veteran Welfare Complexes to provide all essential facilities under one roof. Army Commander also addressed the attendees & reaffirmed the commitment of Sapta Shakti Command towards ensuring regular communication, interaction, empowerment, felicitation and comprehensive care for our Veterans, Veer Naris and Veer Matas. He also reiterated that in the present geo-political environment, where dangerous wars were being fought in many parts of the world, it is imperative that we remain prepared across all the dimensions of national defence. In such a scenario our veterans will play a crucial role, standing tall as the 2nd and 3rd line of defence.

The Rally included a felicitation ceremony wherein Veer Naris, Veer Matas and War Wounded Veterans were honoured with tokens of appreciation for their distinguished service and sacrifice for the Nation. Additionally, mobility aids and essential equipment including sixteen three-wheeler scooters, one hundred and thirteen Wheel Chairs, eighty Hearing Aids, twenty nine Walkers and twenty nine electronic patient beds, BP machines and substantial financial aid was presented to a number of disabled Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris and Veeranganas.

The Sapta Shakti Command remains steadfast in its commitment to the welfare and well-being of Veterans and their families. The Ex-Servicemen Rally 2026 at Churu stands as a testament to the Indian Army’s enduring bond with its Veterans and Veer Naris, reaffirming the Nation’s collective respect, gratitude and responsibility towards those who have served with honour and pride. The event also re-emphasised that Veteran welfare is a shared national obligation requiring integrated efforts from the Army, civil administration and society at large. (JKNS)
