New Delhi, Mar 8 (JKNS): President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday congratulated Team India for winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, defeating New Zealand in the final.
In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, Murmu said the victory marks a historic milestone as India became the only country to win the T20 World Cup three times and the first team to lift the trophy twice consecutively.
“This brings immense joy and pride to our cricket-loving people. It is also a marker of the rich talent pool we have among our youth. Every player, the management and the support staff deserve the highest praise for this collective triumph,” she wrote, wishing the team continued success.
India defeated New Zealand by 96 runs in the final at Ahmedabad, successfully retaining the T20 World Cup title. (JKNS)
