Srinagar, Mar 12 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday announced that the holiday on account of Jumat-ul-Vida will now be observed on March 13, 2026, instead of the earlier scheduled date of March 20, across the Union Territory.
According to an official order, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, the change has been made in partial modification of Government Order No. 1894-JK(GAD) of 2025 and Government Order No. 1895-JK(GAD) of 2025, both issued on December 12, 2025.
The order states that the holiday will now fall on Friday, March 13, in view of the revised schedule for the observance of Jumat-ul-Vida. (JKNS)
