Jammu, Mar 15 (JKNS): Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, on Sunday visited the Eidgah Residency Road to review on-the-spot arrangements for worshippers ahead of Eid al-Fitr prayers.

Dr. Andrabi was accompanied by Special Officer Auqaf Dr Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Administrator Jammu Abid Hussain and other sectional heads during the visit. She inspected the facilities and directed the concerned officials to ensure proper cleanliness, adequate water supply, electricity and other essential services for the people who will gather for Eid prayers, as per news agency JKNS.

Speaking on the occasion, Andrabi said that the largest Eid prayer congregation in Jammu is held at the Eidgah and the Waqf Board is committed to ensuring satisfactory arrangements for the worshippers.

She added that the Waqf Board, in coordination with various government departments and with the support of the public, will ensure smooth and proper management of the Eid prayers as has been done in previous years. (JKNS)
