Sopore, March 16: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Srinagar organised a 5-day orientation programme for Heads of Institutions (HoIs) on implementing vocational education under NEP 2020 at Govt Boys Hr Sec School Sopore.
Resource Person Reyaz Ahmad Dar delivered a lecture on “Implementing NEP 2020 in Schools for the Benefit of Children.
The programme aimed to equip HoIs with strategies to effectively implement vocational education in schools, enhancing students’ skills and employability.
Dar emphasised adapting the policy to meet local needs, focusing on hands-on training, and making education more relevant to students’ future careers.
The programme was co-ordinated by Mohd Rafi Bhat, with Syed Rashid serving as Liaison Officer.
Resource persons Suraya Majeed and Dr Sufeena also contributed to the programme. HoIs expressed gratitude to the resource persons for guiding them on implementing NEP 2020 in schools.
The programme aimed to motivate students and enhance their skills, making them more employable in the future.
