Sopore, Mar 21: Around 15,000 devotees gathered at Eid Gah Aliya Zaingair in Hardushiva-Pazalpora to offer Eid prayers in a peaceful and disciplined manner, marking one of the largest congregations in the area.
Worshippers from several villages including Hardushiva-Pazalpora, Mundji, Takiya Khan, Duroo, Sempora, Yambran, Cherhar, Rashidabad, Gund Brath, Goripora-Darpora and Marbal participated in the prayers. The Eid Gah is regarded as the oldest in the Zaingair belt and holds deep religious and cultural significance.
On the occasion, the newly elected Chairman, Haji Mohd Sikander Bhat, addressed the gathering and appealed to the entire Zaingair community to maintain unity, cooperation and social harmony. He stressed the need for collective responsibility to strengthen communal bonds and ensure peace in the region.
The Chairman also expressed gratitude to the district administration, including the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore and SSP Sopore, with special appreciation for Bomai Police, for ensuring smooth arrangements and security during the congregation.
Special prayers, lead by Danish Malik were offered for lasting peace, communal harmony and prosperity across the region. Devotees prayed for an end to suffering and for stronger bonds of brotherhood among people of all communities.
