Beerwah, Mar 26 (JKNS): Serious concerns have been raised over the deteriorating environmental conditions in Kandoora village of Beerwah, where large heaps of garbage have accumulated near public places, including the Higher Secondary School and religious sites.

Local resident Nazir Ahmed Wani expressed strong concern over the situation, stating that excessive garbage has been piling up for a long time, creating an unhealthy and unhygienic environment. He also highlighted that cow dung scattered along the roads is adding to the problem, making daily movement difficult for residents and posing health risks.

Wani held the local population responsible for negligence in maintaining cleanliness and stressed the need for collective responsibility. He urged people to adopt proper waste disposal practices and contribute towards keeping the environment clean and safe.

He further appealed to the Tehsil Administration Beerwah and the Block Development Officer (BDO) Beerwah to take immediate and strict action against those involved in polluting the environment. He also called for regular sanitation drives and proper waste management systems in the area.

Emphasizing the importance of environmental protection, Wani appealed to the public to cooperate with authorities and ensure a cleaner, healthier village for all. (JKNS)
