Karnah:(JKNS) The Porter Defence recruitment drive, which began on March 22 in the border area of Karnah, concluded successfully today. Hundreds of young men from across the region participated with great enthusiasm, stepping forward with hopes of a better future despite limited employment opportunities.
As in previous years, the Army has set a target to provide employment to approximately 400 youths this year as well, which is considered a significant opportunity for a remote and border area like Karnah. On the final day of recruitment, Chhamkot Ground was packed with candidates who took part in various stages and demonstrated their abilities.
Local residents stated that the Army is not only a major source of employment but also plays a vital role in public welfare alongside safeguarding the borders. Whether through medical camps, natural disasters, or other emergency situations, the Army is always seen standing shoulder to shoulder with the people, serving as a strong support system for the region.
This recruitment drive not only opens doors of employment for the youth but also instills discipline, responsibility, and a sense of patriotism among them. The large participation of Karnah’s youth reflects their readiness to serve the nation at all times.(JKNS)
