Karnah(JKNS): A dignified and memorable farewell ceremony was held today at New Light Public Model School (NLPM), Chitterkote Karnah, in honour of Mohammad Iqbal Chouhan, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Chamkote, on the occasion of his retirement. The event was jointly organized by various teachers’ associations of the zone.
The graceful ceremony witnessed the participation of officers associated with the zone, headmasters, teachers, non-teaching staff, social figures, and other distinguished guests in large numbers.
The event was also attended by the Tehsildar Karnah, Zonal Education Officer Tangdhar, Chief Information Officer Kupwara-Baramulla, headmasters of different schools, local Qazis, principals, and senior administrative officers, which further added to the significance and prestige of the occasion.
Speakers, while addressing the gathering, described Mohammad Iqbal Chouhan as an honest, dedicated, soft-spoken, and people-friendly officer. They said that throughout his service career, he rendered remarkable services in the field of education and always worked sincerely for the improvement of institutions, guidance of teachers, and the bright future of students.
The speakers further stated that his leadership in improving educational standards, maintaining discipline, and ensuring timely resolution of school-related issues in Zone Chamkote would always be remembered.
Representatives of various teachers’ associations said that he consistently upheld merit, justice, transparency, and principled decision-making, which earned him immense respect and admiration across the entire zone.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the teachers’ associations honoured Mohammad Iqbal Chouhan with a shawl, a commemorative memento, and bouquets in recognition of his valuable services. The participants extended their best wishes for his future life and prayed for his good health, prosperity, peace, and a long life.(JKNS)
