Srinagar, Apr 01 (JKNS): One terrorist has been killed in the ongoing anti-terror operation in Arahama area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said on Wednesday.
A senior police official told news agency JKNS, that during the night of March 31, the cordon laid by security forces was tactically reorganised amid intermittent exchange of fire. The troops responded with a calibrated approach, resulting in the elimination of one terrorist.
The encounter had initially started on Tuesday evening after a brief exchange of fire took place during a cordon and search operation launched jointly by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police following specific intelligence inputs.

The area remains under a tight cordon, with additional reinforcements deployed and all entry and exit points sealed. Senior officials from police and Army are continuously monitoring the situation on the ground.
